Winter nudge

minnesota. cbslocal. com

December slip-throw
slowly
sleet into slit
of my sanity

the old tires  - in a trunk
the notches are low,
though weight is fine
for balance show

it saved me while turned
as a dancing car/cow,
pursuing the will,
crouched in a line

‘whenever you go –
take your time’, -
radio 88.5 fm says, -
‘but better – stay home…’
winter calamity.

  2. Whew, so true....if a person can stay home they should. The weather out there is brutal! Nicely penned, Humbird!

  4. Sometimes it is better to stay at home. It is pity that there is no snow anywhere in close proximity here. :-)
    Well-penned. :-)

  5. Such a fatigue in this. I feel the drag of yet another foray into cold and drudgery. Yeah, I can feel that too.

  10. I'm so glad i don't have to go anywhere right now. Not that it's all that slick out, but all the roads a are white-topped. Makes for slow going.

  11. ah there are def times it is better just to stay in doors...and safe...the slick roads can be a treacherous place....esp ice...

  14. I like this. Simple, with details. Something about it reminds me of my grandfather, the directness, the caution? Thanks for this.
